On June 20, 2019, the "2019 Smart Port Conference and Annual Meeting of the Science and Technology Committee of the China Port Association" was held in Qingdao. At the meeting, the China Port Association officially released the "2019 Business Environment Report for Port Enterprises in China".

In order to further expand opening up, promote higher-level trade facilitation, and maintain stable growth in imports and exports, the State Council issued the "Work Plan for Optimizing the Port Business Environment and Promoting Cross border Trade Facilitation" in October last year, which includes several measures to promote cross-border trade facilitation.
